Xsticky

Keep organized with sticky notes from the Xsticky Firefox Add-on. Jot down thoughts and they stay put on any Web page. Navigate away and your note is right where you left it. It’s just like using sticky notes in the “real world”.

I was introduced to Firefox a few years ago when someone walked me through the concept of add-ons. They intimidated me at first. Could I turn them off? (Yes!) Would they overtake other browser functions I liked? (No.) Once I got comfy with add-ons I couldn’t imagine using Firefox without them. I’m a big fan of quirkier add-ons that do things like track earthquakes or tell me when the moon will rise, as well as those that get a lot of attention, like AdBlock Plus, Sxipper and Personas, but today I’m talking about Xsticky.

Xsticky works like a favorite office supply—the sticky note. The only difference is how they’re used in a virtual world. Click on the pencil and tablet icon in the bottom of your browser, and leave a note on any open Web site. Navigate away from that site and the note stays put—just like it would if it was stuck to the top of a pile of papers. It’s always there when you come back. If I visit Yelp! to look for a restaurant, I can leave myself a note about what I found and come back to it days later. This add-on is great to begin with because it works just like something most people are familiar with. So get started, get organized and have fun with Xsticky.

Good idea but the app is sometimes non-responsive, and sluggish. For example, I tried changing the properties and it would not allow me to save my changes. I don’t recommend it.

This sounds like a good add-on, but from what I’ve read from the responses above it sounds as if it is very slow, has a few bugs, and is moderately unreliable. Does anybody know of a secure another add-on that does the exact same thing, but with fewer/no bugs, more reliability, and safe and secure?

I use this add on to add notes directly to my website, and I am simply amazed. I love it! I want software that will allow me to stick notes to anything, anywhere! But for now, this is GREAT! I haven’t had any problems with the properties, but hopefully, new updates for solve any small issues like that!

Or you could use wordpad. Idk, I think I’ll pass on this one (it are my right!).

Really though, you should always save a comment you’re about to leave with wordpad in case the packets are sent to the VOID OF DEATH!!!

It used to be really bad on YouTube.

If you use Mac OS X, this add-on is totally not needed, as you have a sticky note app called Stickies included with OS X (maybe earlier Mac OS’, too, come to think of it). I’m not saying that this is is a bad or worthless idea or add-on, especially for Windows users. I just wanted to point that out for unaware OS X users is all.
