Whether it’s bills, bike tune-ups, dentist appointments, birthdays, anniversaries, or your turn to wash the dog, we all have things we have to remember. That’s why add-ons like ReminderFox are so great.
The ReminderFox Developers note: “We made this add-on because forgetting your mother’s birthday just one time is one time too many.” They wanted something simple, and needed reminders in a place where they’d see them. From there, the idea of building ReminderFox into the Firefox browser was born.
If you’ve ever used any sort of calendar program, you’re in luck. ReminderFox will make sense to you. It’s intuitive and simple, just like the developers dreamed.
Click the Reminder Fox icon in your status bar and it brings up the Reminder Fox List window, with clear-as-day reminders:
Double click to edit tasks or reminders, get descriptions, and see all the details. And double click on any date on the Calendar to create a new event and use other features:
ReminderFox users really can keep things simple, but there are plenty of settings and customizations to make it fancy, if you feel like fidgeting:
You can set weeks to begin on Sunday or Wednesday, or whenever you want, format dates in 10 different ways (unabbreviated day of the week, abbreviated month of the year, etc.), get daily task reminders until completion (or not), or pile on lists in addition to “Reminders” and “ToDos”. Looks like “Movies”, “Albums”, “Books” and “Groceries” are good examples to add to your line up:
And you can also find ReminderFox in the Tools menu with a nice submenu of choices:
Looks like the developers are planning to support Google Calendar in the future, which will make things even easier. It’s nice to find your life where you left it, right in the corner of your browser window. Try out ReminderFox and let us know what you think.
