Mobile Add-on: Foursquare

Foursquare lets you update your location and share tips with friends about your city — now available as a Firefox for mobile add-on.

Whether it’s adding places to your to-do list or checking in from within your browser, the Foursquare mobile add-on helps you explore the world around you. You can even keep up with friends, get insider tips and unlock discounts and rewards.

Foursquare add-on for Firefox on mobileFoursquare is a location-based mobile platform that makes cities easier and more interesting to explore. By checking in, users share their location with friends while collecting points and virtual badges. You can also bookmark information about venues that you want to visit and Foursquare will offer you relevant suggestions about other nearby places.

Scan this QR code with your phone to downloadTo get Foursquare on Firefox for mobile, open the add-ons manager and select it from the list of recommended add-ons below, alternatively scan the QR code on the right. You won’t even have to restart Firefox to install Foursquare, then you can just swipe left and tap on the Foursquare icon on the right side of your screen above the Browser Tools. (You’ll be asked to authorize your account first, so that you can check in right from your mobile).

Foursquare for Firefox for mobileTo check in to a nearby location, just tap on the Foursquare icon and a list of nearby locations will appear. Tap on the location you’re at and leave a tip for others to read if you’d like. You’ll see a confirmation of your check-in right in your phone’s notifications.

    Its a shame that we check into places, then over night we loose all the points. What’s good is it to have the fun taken away from you? The OLD WAY WAS A LOT BETTER.
