Every so often an add-on comes along that leaves you wondering how you ever got on without it.

If you’re a Twitter user – today certainly marks one of those occasions with the launch of Twitter’s add-on for Firefox: the Twitter Address Bar Search add-on.

Once  you’ve installed the add-on (with no restart required), you’ll  notice a Twitter app tab has been pinned to Firefox for quick access.  Then, click on the Awesome Bar, and the  fun starts.

The Twitter Address Bar Search add-on lets you search Twitter right from your Awesome Bar. To start a search, simply enter a hashtag (like #Firefox), or @mention, and you can instantly call up a page of results of topics or people on Twitter.
