Your knees are knocking and your palms are sweaty because you just realized that you haven’t written a single essay question for the English midterm that’s due at 9.

At this point, you usually wake up and discover that you’re the same veterinarian, disc jockey or parking lot attendant you were when you went to sleep the night before, and those stressful days of forgotten homework assignments are long gone. After you install the FoxClocks Add-on, the bottom left of your browser window reveals several clocks keeping time in different locations around the world.

If you thought clockwatching was an amateur sport, FoxClocks will set you and your timepiece straight. Go Tools -> FoxClocks and you’ll get the main options window:

“Zone Picker” empowers you to browse time zones with the expert hand of a Farmer’s Market mom extracting perfect produce. Choose based on country, region or city and move zones to your “Watchlist”.

There are many well designed options for configuring things in FoxClocks. You can make clocks appear in a toolbar, or collapse into hoverable icons in your browser window:

Ever read a really, really long novel? War and Peace, maybe? Atlas Shrugged? No matter what the plot, long novels take a lot of page turning. Many devoted literati have nursed cramped fingers as they rounded page 682.

So…wouldn’t it be easier if Infinite Jest came to you in one long roll? Or just imagine if Clarissa was counted among the world’s longest leaflets…

That’s exactly the thinking behind PageZipper. This add-on pieces together all the pages of a given Web experience to make a continuous, uninterrupted scroll.

Once you’ve installed the add-on, go “Toolbars” to “Customize…”:

Drag the PageZipper icon (it’s circled below–it may be in a slightly different spot for you) from the window to wherever you want it to appear:

Click the icon to start the PageZipper feature. It turns green, and arrows appear in the upper right corner on the Web page you are viewing:

PageZipper works particularly well with image galleries and lists, like “Top 10 Best Restaurants”. Lists often give an overview with links to the 10 (or more) featured sites. Without PageZipper, you have to do a lot of clicking to see each one. With PageZipper, you can just scroll.

Here the place where the Web page normally ends is circled. With PageZipper, now you see the first page’s footer, followed immediately by the next page:

No clicking required! Unless you want to—above you can see the arrow function (circled) that lets you page through an article without ever leaving the original Web page.

Keeping track of the sites you love—or just suspect you might want to read—can be tricky. And everyone has method they prefer best. It could be that Taboo does the trick for you.

To understand Taboo, start by thinking about tabs. Many users keep a site tab open just because they see something they want to read later, and don’t want to forget the site. This method results in lots of tabs open in the here-and-now, even though content isn’t read until far in the future…

Taboo gets the tabs that are better read tomorrow out of your tab line up, while still saving them for later.

After you install Taboo, you’ll see two red and gray icons in your toolbar. Here’s a nice explanation of what they do:

Like most people on Twitter, I lead a life so interesting that I tell strangers about it a couple times a day.  Whether I’m washing my car, at the library, or eating a sandwich, there’s always something amazing going on in my life that I want other people to know about.  Unsurprisingly, celebrities and companies also lead interesting lives, so they use Twitter to let me know what’s up.

I spend a few hours each day catching up with my pals Kanye and Rainn, and I’m always looking for new friends to follow.  This is where Tweetbeat comes in.  When I’m not reading Twitter, I’m reading the news- and Tweetbeat Firsthand brings both of my favorite pastimes together with style.  Whenever I’m reading a new article, Tweetbeat Firsthand shows me if anyone mentioned has a Twitter account, and I can just read their tweets without leaving the page.

The Web is an amazing place for ordinary people to buy and sell goods. You might remember my review of CLIP, the add-on that integrates images into your search results on Craigslist. Before sites like eBay and CLIP, treasure hunting used to be the stuff of tag sales and your local Salvation Army or Goodwill. Nowadays finding a complete collection of Fiestaware in peacock (or sunflower) can happen from the comfort of your own home, with just a little patience and focus. The focus part is where the eBay Sidebar Add-on comes in.

Immediately after you install the add-on, you’ll see the eBay Sidebar in its “open” state.  For future visits, click the eBay icon in your toolbar and find “open eBay sidebar” in the drop-down menu that appears. You’ll see other choices there too:

The eBay sidebar definitely encourages your competitive side, tracking active items from your account. You customize alerts and stay on top of bids, and you’ll also get a note when a listing you’re bidding on is ending:
